American device maker Apple launched the iPhone 17e in global markets on Monday (2nd March 2026). It replaces the iPhone 16e introduced last year. This affordable smartphone features the new A19 chip and supports MagSafe.

The base variant of this smartphone with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is priced at $599 / £599 / €729 / ₹64,900, and the 8GB + 512GB variant is priced at $799 / £799 / €979 / ₹84,900. The iPhone 17e will be available in Black, White, and Soft Pink colors. Pre-orders for this smartphone have begun. The iPhone 17e will be available for sale starting March 11th on Apple’s website and in authorized stores.

The dual-SIM smartphone features a 6.1-inch (1170×2532 pixels) Super Retina XDR (OLED) display with a 60Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness level of 800 nits. The phone display sports Ceramic Shield 2 for protection. The smartphone runs on iOS 26. The iPhone 17e is powered by the company’s new Apple A19 chip.

The smartphone features a 48-megapixel rear camera with an f/1.6 aperture. There’s a 12-megapixel TrueDepth front camera for selfies and video calls. The company claims the smartphone supports “optical quality” 2x zoom. It has an Action button and Apple Intelligence features. It has a C1X modem, which is said to be faster.

One of the features of the iPhone 17e is support for MagSafe charging. The phone supports 20W wired and 7.5W MagSafe charging. However, the battery capacity of this smartphone is a 4005mAh non-removable battery. Apple claims that this smartphone can provide 26 hours of video playback on a single charge.

The phone’s connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth v5.3, USB Type-C, 3G, 4G, and 5G with active 4G on both SIM cards. This smartphone has an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and barometer as sensors. The size of the iPhone 17e is 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.8 mm and weighs approximately 169.0 grams.
