Motorola Edge (2024) with SD 7s Gen 2, 6.6″ 144Hz OLED display for the US
The Motorola Edge (2024) has been officially launched in North America as a new iteration in the Edge lineup. The phone is similar to the Moto Edge 50 Fusion and has a very familiar design. It has a rectangular module on the back panel with dual camera sensors, curved edges on the front, an IP68 rating, and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. Motorola Edge (2024) price:
The Motorola Edge (2024) is priced at $549.99 and will be available on Amazon.com, Best Buy and the Motorola website starting June 20. The phone will be available through carriers such as T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, Spectrum, Consumer Cellular, Straight Talk, Total by Verizon, and Visible.
Consumers can purchase the phone in Canada at Motorola.ca and select carriers and retailers in the coming days.
What’s new on the Motorola Edge (2024)?
The Motorola Edge (2024) replaces last year’s Edge (2023). The phones have a 6.6-inch display with a polarized panel. However, the MediaTek Dimensity 7030 chipset is being replaced by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. The 4,400mAh battery on the Edge 2023 is being bumped to a larger 5,000mAh capacity which should result in better battery life.
Both phones have the same 68W fast charging and 15W wireless charging support. Although we get the same 50MP + 13MP dual camera setup on both models, the sensors appear to be different. Overall, the Motorola Edge 2024 has improved in the chipset department.
The 2024 model is thicker and heavier than its predecessor – 8.1mm and 174g versus 7.6mm and 168g, but the predecessor had a smaller battery.
