OnePlus 9RT 5G
OnePlus 9RT 5G Summary
OnePlus 9RT 5G is a solid flagship phone that feels good in the hand despite its weight of 198.5 grams. It features rounded edges on the aluminum frame, making it comfortable to hold. The phone has a relatively large 6.62-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and full-HD+ resolution. The major performance upgrade for the 9RT is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, which puts it on par with the OnePlus 9. Additionally, OnePlus has improved the touch response of the 9RT’s screen, which can reach up to 600Hz in some games, doubling the previous rate.
The in-display fingerprint sensor provides lightning-fast authentication, and navigating the phone’s menus is seamless. Switching between apps is smooth, and the phone doesn’t seem to struggle with multitasking. In our internal test, the 4,500mAh battery lasted 20 hours and 16 minutes while playing an HD video clip on a loop until the phone shut off. The camera app on the 9RT is directly from sister company Oppo’s ColorOS. The image quality is good, but its low-light performance could be improved.
Overall, the OnePlus 9RT 5G is a great flagship phone, but it could be an even better deal with a slight reduction in its current price. If you’re in the market for a flagship phone and can’t wait, there are equally appealing options from Xiaomi, Realme, and Samsung available at more competitive prices.
