Realme GT 6 Launched With Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, 120W Charging Support

Realme GT 6 was launched in India and global markets on 20th Jun 2024. The latest GT series smartphone runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC and brings remarkable AI-based features similar to smartphones from Samsung and Google. Realme GT 6 is the company’s first smartphone to feature Generative AI (GenAI). It features an AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a triple camera setup at the rear, including a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-808 primary sensor. It is equipped with a 5,500mAh battery with 120W SuperVOOC charging support.

Realme GT 6 price, availability

The Realme GT 6 is on pre-order in India and those booking the unit before June 24 are getting an early bird discount of INR5,000. The phone comes in 8GB+256GB (INR40,999), 12GB+256GB (INR42,999), and 16GB+512GB (INR44,999) variants, and is available on Realme’s official Indian website, Flipkart, and mainline channels. will be sold through Realme including six months of screen damage protection.

In Europe, the phone is available immediately. The base 8GB+256GB is priced at €599 with the 12GB+256GB model priced at €699 and the 16GB+512GB version is priced at €799. Those who order before July 4th receive an early bird discount, reducing bird prices by €549, €599, and €699 respectively.

Realme GT 6 specifications

The dual-SIM (Nano) Realme GT 6 runs Android 14-based Realme UI 5 and features a 6.78-inch full-HD+ (1,264×2,780 pixels) 8T LTPO AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, HDR 10+ support and Dolby Vision support. The display is claimed to offer 6,000 nits of brightness and a 360Hz touch sampling rate. The new phone is powered by a 4nm octa-core Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512B of storage. It has a 10,014mm square 3D tempered dual VC system to enhance cooling efficiency.

For optics, the phone has a triple rear camera unit with a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-808 sensor with f/1.69 aperture and OIS support. The camera setup also includes a 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 telephoto sensor and an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultra-wide-angle camera. For selfies and video calls, there is a 32-megapixel front camera with an f/2.45 aperture.

The camera setup enables 4K video recording at 30fps with Dolby Vision support and a dedicated AI night vision mode. The handset packs several other AI-based features such as AI Smart Removal and AI Smart Loop. The former will help remove unwanted objects from the images by rotating them. Smart Loop provides app suggestions based on your current tasks.

Connectivity options on the phone include Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, and Wi-Fi 6. It is equipped with an X-axis linear motor and has Hi-Res certification. The GT 6 is also equipped with dual microphones. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor to unlock the smartphone.

The GT 6 has a 5,500mAh battery with 120W charging support. This fast charging technology is claimed to be able to charge the battery from zero to 50% in 10 minutes. The handset is said to charge from zero to 100% in 28 minutes. The battery is capable of providing up to 46 hours of talk time and eight hours of PUBG gameplay on a single charge. It is claimed to retain more than 80 percent capacity after 1,600 full charge cycles. The handset measures 162×75.1×8.65mm and weighs 199 grams.
