The entire Samsung Galaxy S25 series should have the most desired CPU

2025 has finally arrived, and in a few weeks, Samsung will officially present the long-awaited Samsung Galaxy S25 series, which has been the subject of interesting new previews in the last few hours.

Rumors have been circulating for weeks that the Korean giant has decided to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor on all models of the new series, regardless of the market. In the last few hours, leaker Tarun Vats on X confirmed that even the basic version will be able to boast this CPU globally.

The leaker also shared the results of a benchmark test related to the Samsung Galaxy S25 (SM-S931B), which on the popular Geekbench platform with a model equipped with 12 GB of RAM, the system achieved 2,986 points in single-core performance and 9,355 points in multi-core performance.

Tarun Vats also clarified that the smartphone this was done on was a prototype.

A benchmark test also for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

Also in the last few hours, the results of another interesting benchmark test were published online, involving the Ultra variant of Samsung’s new flagship series.

The question test, performed on the popular Geekbench platform, saw the model with codename SM-9380 score 3,049 points in single-core and 9,793 points in multi-core.

Even for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, the tests were performed with a variant equipped with 12 GB of RAM and the results were a little lower than expected: it should be kept in mind that Samsung has decided to slightly overclock the Qualcomm CPU compared to what would be the normal version of the processor (the two cores dedicated to performance go from a maximum frequency of 4.32 GHz to 4.47 GHz) and many were expecting the threshold of 10,000 points to be exceeded.

Of course, benchmark tests should always be taken into consideration for what they are, while what really matters to users is the responsiveness and experience in everyday life. From this point of view, the Samsung Galaxy S25 series seems to have all the credentials to be able to have its say.
