Samsung is preparing to add a new smartphone Galaxy A17 5G, to its Galaxy A-series lineup. Before the company announces its launch, the phone has now been listed on the company’s official portal and the website of some market retailers. The listings show that it runs on One UI 7, which is based on Android 15. It has a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, which comes with a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen is in Infinity-U style notch design and works on an 5nm octa-core Exynos 1330 processor. The body of the phone is IP54 rated, that is, it is protected to some extent against dust and water splash. It comes as a successor to the Galaxy A16.

Samsung Galaxy A17 5G will be launched in Europe, where its base 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at €239. At the same time, some retailers have listed it in an 8GB + 256GB configuration. For example, in Spain, it is being sold for €309. It will come in three color options – Black, Blue, and Gray.

The Galaxy A17 5G is powered by an octa-core Exynos 1330 SoC processor. It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric security.
For optics, there is a dual rear camera setup that includes a 50MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and autofocus and a 2MP macro camera with f/2.2 aperture. It has a 13MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calls.
Connectivity options on the Galaxy A17 5G include 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, and USB Type-C. The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 25W wired fast charging support. It measures 254.3 x 165.8 x 6.0mm and weighs 192 grams.
