Exclusive: Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 & Ultra Specs Leak
Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Watch 7 & Ultra at its Unpacked event in July, possibly in Paris. The Galaxy Watch Ultra name was recently confirmed by a certification, followed by the Galaxy Watch X for a very short time.
Today’s new leak brings us some specific details for the Galaxy Watch 7 & Ultra. The former will be offered in 40mm and 44mm sizes, while the latter will only be available in 47mm. That strategy seems to mirror Apple’s very closely, for what it’s worth.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 & Ultra leaked specs
The Watch7 will be offered in two colors, green and “cream”. The case will be crafted from “Armor Aluminum 2,” and the glass will be a sapphire crystal similar to that found in high-end mechanical and quartz watches. The Watch7 will be 5ATM rated for underwater use, as well as IP68 and MIL-STD-810H.
The 40mm model will have a 300mAh battery, while the 44mm will have a 425mAh cell. Both of these are similar to what we saw in the Galaxy Watch 6 last year. The chipset, however, will be manufactured on a 3nm process this time, compared to 5nm in the Watch 6. The storage will be increased to 32GB, and the peak brightness will be 2,000 nits.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra is positioned to compete with the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and will come with a titanium case, which will be offered in three colors: gray, beige, and silver. The watch is 10ATM depth rated and adheres to the MIL-STD-810H standard, as well as achieving IP58 dust and water resistance.
The battery capacity remains unchanged from the 2022 Galaxy Watch5 Pro at 590 mAh. The same 3nm SoC is for the Watch7, and 32GB of storage as well. However, brightness will peak at 3,000 nits. The Watch Ultra will only be sold with LTE connectivity.
