Sony Xperia 1 III smartphone was announced in April 2021. This phone comes with a 6.50-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 1644×3840 pixels and an aspect ratio of 21:9. The display sports Gorilla Glass for protection. The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. It comes with 12GB of RAM. This phone runs Android 11 and is powered by a 4500mAh battery. The phone supports both wireless charging and proprietary fast charging.
Regarding the cameras, the phone on the rear packs a triple camera setup featuring a 12-megapixel (f/1.7) primary camera; a 12-megapixel (f/2.3-2.8) camera, and a 12-megapixel (f/2.2) camera. The rear camera setup has autofocus, and a single front camera setup for selfies, featuring an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture.

It was released in Frosted Black, Frosted Grey, and Frosted Purple colors, and features an IP68 rating for dust and water protection.
